Ashiq-E-Rasool Salla Allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam

Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni.

Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni.

About Sohail Yemeni, the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam says that he is superior to his followers due to his kindness and favor. When there is praise by the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam then what else can I describe about him. Sometimes the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam used to turn his face towards Yemen and said, “I feel the breeze of love from the Yemen.”the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam told on the day of judgment that Allah azzawajal will create 70,000 angels same as Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni (clone) and when Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni will come there in between them and will proceed to the heaven, no one will recognize him except Allah azzawajal, because in the world he used to worship away from the mankind and so he will be kept away from the mankind on the day of judgment. It is mentioned that the friends of Allah azzawajal will be kept hidden by him, so no one will be able to see them. On the day of judgment the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam will come out of his palace and will say, “ where is Owaise radi allahu anhu, so that I can see him.” soon there will be a call in which it will be heard that do not worry in this matter, you will not see him here as you did not see him in the world.

The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam told that there was a person in my followers and his recommendation was accepted which was equal to the hairs of the sheep of Rabiya and Mizer tribes of Arabia. There were two tribes in Arabia who had many sheep at that time. The companions asked the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam, “Who that person is?” he said, “He is one among the slaves of Allah azzawajal.” then they told the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam that they were also slaves of Allah azzawajal, but what was his name. The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam told them, “His name is Owaise radi allahu anhu and he is from Qarni.” they asked him, “Where he is?” He replied, “He is in Qarni.” then companions asked the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam, “Have you seen him?”he replied that even though he did not see him physically but he was seen by the eyes of certainty. The companions asked that how such a lover did not come to see you. He said, “It may be due to two reasons, first due to his conditions and second is to respect my Shariat (Islamic law), because his mother is old and blind. He looks after camels and gets some money for the food and clothes for his mother. Then the companions asked could they see him. The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam answered that Abu Bakr radi allahu anhu will not see him but Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu and Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu will see him. On Owaise radi allahu anhu Qarni’s body there are hairs and on his chest and on his palm there are small white marks, which are not of leprosy. The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam said to Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu, “When you will meet him, convey my salam and ask him to pray for the Muslims.”the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam told he is superior among the Allah azzawajal ‘s men who are hidden. Then the companions asked that where could they find him? The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam replied, “In Yemen there is a camel look after Owaise radi allahu anhu and you have to follow his foot steps.”

When the time of prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam’s death was nearer, the companions asked that to whom they should give his dress. He said, “to Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni.” After the death of prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu went to Koofa (Baghdad) and at the time of delivering sermon Omer Farouq  radi allahu anhu requested the people of Najd to stand and asked them, “Is there any person from Qarni.” they said, “yes.” then Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked them did they know about Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni? They replied, “no, but there is a mad person who lives away from the people.” Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked where he lives. They replied, “He lives in Arna valley and looks after the camels, eats dry bread in the night, neither come to the village nor talk to the people.” he does not eat what we eat and he does not know sorrow and happiness. When people laugh he weeps and when people weep he laughs. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu went to that valley and found that Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni was praying at that time. Allah azzawajal has ordered his angels to look after his camels. When there was a sound he finished his prayer and said salam to Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked him, “ What his name is?” he replied, “A slave of Allah azzawajal.” then Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu said, “We all are slaves of Allah azzawajal but I am asking your proper name.” he replied, “Owaise.” Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu told him to show his left hand. He showed his hand and Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu saw the white mark on his hand, which was already described by the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam. He kissed his hand and said, “The prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam has conveyed his Salam and has sent his dress for you and asked you to pray for the Muslims.” then Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni told them, “You are superior so you pray, as you are very close to the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam.” Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu replied, “I will pray but you also pray according to the advice of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni requested Omer farouq radi allahu anhu to please check some other person and that he is not the real one. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu said that they have found all marks on him, which were explained by the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam. Then Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni said, “Give me the dress so that I can pray.”Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu gave him the dress. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni told him to stay there and he went away and poured the dust on his face and asked Allah azzawajal, “Oh Allah azzawajal, I will not wear the dress until you accept my recommendation for all Muslims and for this the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam has sent his dress and Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu have done their work, now your work is left.” then there was call in which it was heard, “I have forgiven some people due to your recommendation.” Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni replied, “I will not wear the dress until you forgive all Muslims.” then the call was heard again in which it was told, “I have forgiven many people.” when he was talking to Allah azzawajal, at the same moment Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu came over there. When Owaise radi allahu anhu saw them there he asked them that why they have come over there because he was talking to Allah azzawajal and that he will not wear the dress until he (Allah) azzawajal accepts my recommendation for all the Muslims. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu saw that Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni was wearing a rag dress, in which there was wealth of 18000 worlds. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu was very sad to see himself and his caliphate, so he said, “Anybody is there who can purchase his caliphate for a piece of bread.” Owaise radi allahu anhu said that foolish will purchase so throw it and anybody who likes it, will take it, so there is no need of selling and buying it. Then Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni wore the dress and said that Allah azzawajal has forgiven the Muslims on his recommendation and due to this dress to equal number of the sheep of Rabiya and Mizer tribes. Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu was silent. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked him, “Oh Owaise radi allahu anhu, why have you not met the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam?” Owaise radi allahu anhu asked, “Have you seen the forehead of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam. If you have seen then tell me whether his eyebrows were close or scattered.” but he could not reply this. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni told, “ Are you a friend of the prophet Muhammad salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam?” he said, “yes.” if you were firm in the friendship then why you have not broken your teeth when the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam’s teeth were broken in the battle of mount of Ohud in Madina and this is the rule of friendship. He showed his teeth and said that he had broken all his teeth in prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam’s love without even seeing him. When I broke a tooth, I was not sure of it as it might be the same tooth of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam or not and then I have broken all my teeth. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu wept and said that your value of respect was great. He did not see the prophet but his respect for the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam was admirable. We have to learn respect from him. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked him to pray for him. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni told him that there should be no desires and wishes  when one has faith in Allah azzawajal. In every prayer I used to pray for all men and women of Muslim world for Allah azzawajal’s mercy and forgiveness. If you die with faith then you will find result of my pray in your grave otherwise my pray will be spoiled. Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu asked him to give some advice. He said, “Oh Omer radi allahu anhu, do you know Allah azzawajal?” Omer radi allahu anhu said, “Yes, I know.” He told Omer radi allahu anhu that except Allah azzawajal he does not know anybody and it is better for you also. Again Omer radi allahu anhu asked for more pieces of advice. He said, “Oh Omer radi allahu anhu, does Allah azzawajal know you.” He said, “Yes.” then it is better that Allah azzawajal knows you more than others. Then Omer radi allahu anhu told him to please wait for some time, so that he can bring something for him. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni took out two dinars from his pocket and said, “This is my earning from camel grazing. If you guarantee that these two dinars are enough for my entire life then I will accept the other things from you, otherwise I do not need anything.” then Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni gave thanks to them for coming over there to see him after facing many difficulties and asked them to leave the place. The Day of Judgment is near, where we can meet there and from there we will not separate at all. Now I am busy for the preparation for the life after death. When Omer Farouq radi allahu anhu and Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu left that place the people of that place started respecting Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni.

He left that place and reached Koofa. After that nobody has seen him, but Huban’s son Harm when he heard about the greatness of recommendation of Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni he was anxious to see him. He went to Koofa to see him, searched him and by chance he found him on the river Farat where he was doing ablution and washing his clothes. He said, “I recognized you due to your greatness and what I have heard about you.” He paid salam to him; he replied it and he looked at me carefully. I wanted to shake his hand but he did not give his hand. I said, “Oh Owaise radi allahu anhu, Allah azzawajal has blessed you, granted his mercy and has forgiven you.” I wept in his friendship and on his weak condition, Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni also wept. Owaise radi allahu anhu said, “Oh Harm, the son of Huban, god bless you. What thing you have brought here and who showed you my address.” Harm replied him, “How do you know my name and my father’s name, as I have not seen you before.” Owaise radi allahu anhu said, “Allah azzawajal told me, who knows everything. My soul recognized your soul, as soul of Muslim knows each other.” I asked him to narrate any saying of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam. He told that he did not met the prophet and has heard his qualities from others and do not want to become scholar of prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam’s tradition, as he has many pending things to do. Then he asked him to recite any verse from the Quran. He recited. “A‘oodhu billahi minash shaitan rajeem” and he started weeping. He said that Allah azzawajal says in the Quran, “wama khalaqtul jinna wal insa illa li-ya‘budoon.” he recited and he cried in loud noise so I thought that he had gone mad. He again asked me what had brought him there. I told him that I wanted your friendship and to become successful. He replied that one who knows Allah azzawajal does not need the love and affection of others and gets comfort from others. I asked him to advise me. He told me that when you sleep, think that your death is under your pillow. When wake up, do not have many hopes and do not consider any sin smaller, but think it is big one. If you think any sin smaller then you think Allah azzawajal small and will become a sinner. I asked him, “What do you say about my stay?” he told me to go to Syria. Then I asked how I would find my livelihood there? Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni said, “It is very sad that their hearts are full of doubts and suspicions and they do not accept the pieces of advice.” I asked him some more pieces of advice for me. He told, “Oh son of Huban, your father died. Adam alayhi salaam, Eve alayhi salaam, Noah alayhi salaam, Abraham alayhi salaam, Moses alayhi salaam, David alayhi salaam also died. Abu bakr radi allahu anhu died who was the first caliph, my brother Omer radi allahu anhu also died.” then he said, “Oh Omer radi allahu anhu, god bless you.” Omer radi allahu anhu is still living. He says, Allah azzawajal has informed him that Omer radi allahu anhu has passed away. He told me that, I and you are in between dead. He recite blessing and started praying. He advised me to follow the holy book and the right path and do not forget about death at any moment. When you reach your people then advise them and also advise mankind. Always follow the steps of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam, otherwise you will be out of the religion and be eligible for the hell. He then advised some prayers and asked me to go. He said, “Oh son of Huban, you will not see me and I will not see you again, but remember me in your prayers, because I to remember you in my prayers. You go on that way and I will follow this way.” I had desire to follow him for some time but he did not allow me. He wept and I also wept. I was watching him from the backside but after some time he disappeared. After that there was no news about him. The son of Huban said that Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni first told him about the four caliphs of the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam.

Rabiya narrates that he went to see Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni and he saw him while he was performing the morning prayer. After the prayer he was busy in the glorification of Allah azzawajal until the time of noon prayer. He was busy with his work until the time of next prayer and in this way he was very busy until next morning prayer. For three days he did not eat or drink anything or even slept. On fourth night he slept for some time and then wake up and started hymns, in which he said, “ Oh Allah azzawajal, keep me away from full sleep and full food in the stomach and it is enough for me and I have come back to you.” it is said that he never slept in the nights. He used to say that the night was for doing prostration, bowing and for standing before God. He used to keep every night alive. When people asked him, “How do they pray?” he told, “I want it will be dawn before I did not say ‘Subhan Allah azzawajal’ in the prostration. As I want to do worship same as angels do in the sky.” When people asked him, “What is khudo (attention) in the prayers?” He told, “If there is wound of spear on your body but you did not notice it.” The people asked him, “How are you?” how he will be, when he wake up in the morning and the death will allow him to be alive or not upto night? When people asked him about his work, he replied, “Oh, the journey is long but no preparations at all?”

Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni said that if you worship of Allah azzawajal and if the same is equal to the worship of all creations of Allah azzawajal in the sky and earth but Allah azzawajal will not accept the same unless you have faith in him. The people asked him further, how we have to keep faith in Allah azzawajal. He said at the time of worship do not think for other things, which Allah azzawajal have reserved for you. He said, “Whoever like the following three things, for him hell will be near to nerve of his neck.”

1.Good food
2.Good dress
3.Sitting with wealthy people

People told Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni that there is one man who is sitting in the grave since 30 years and wearing shroud around his neck and weeping. He said, “Take me to that person so that I can see him.” the people took him to that person and he saw that man who has become thin by weeping. He told him, “Oh man, the shroud and the grave has kept you away from the Allah azzawajal, and these two things are disturbing on your way.” Due to his divine appearance that person was able to see these things on him and his condition was revealed to him. He died in the grave. So think on it that if grave and shroud are seen then other things can also be seen. It is reported that Owaise radi allahu anhu has not eaten anything or drank even water for three days. On the fourth day he got a dinar on the way. He did not took that dinar and he thought that it belonged to some other person and he went ahead to eat grass. Then he saw a sheep and in her mouth there was hot bread and the sheep kept that bread before him. But he thought that it belonged to some other person. The sheep told him, “I am the slave of Allah azzawajal like you.” then he took that bread and that sheep was disappeared. His praise and qualities are too many and great. In the beginning Shaikh Abul Qasim Gorgani was the follower of Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni. Owaise of Qarni says that one who knows Allah azzawajal from Allah azzawajal, and then he knows everything. He said, “Safety is in loneliness. The person who is single and alone and who do not think about others in his heart is safe and secured, because it is not good to think about others in loneliness. Satan (devil) will run away when two persons meet each other.” So he did not go there because he knew that no need to misguide them, as those persons are busy with each other and have forgotten Allah azzawajal. Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni suggested keeping control on the heart so that other person (devil) may not enter into it.

Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni’s sayings
1.When I asked for high respect, I got it in the service.
2.When I asked for leadership and status, I got it in the people’s advice.
3.When I asked for kindness and service, I got it in the truth and right path.
4.When I asked for proud and greatness, I got it in poverty and misery.
5.When I asked for link, I got it in goodness and in the fear of god.
6.When I asked for fame, I got it in the worship.
7.When I asked for carelessness, I got it in the trust of God.

It is reported that the neighbors of Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni told him that they thought him a mad man. They collected some money and constructed a house for him. He used to live in that house. There was nothing in the house to eat at the time of breakfast. He tried to earn money by collecting seeds of dates and by selling them. From that money he managed his food. If he collected dates, he used to sell them and that money was spent for the charity. His dress was old and not in the good condition. He made his dress from the horse skin which he used to clean himself. He used to leave the house at the time of morning prayer and to enter the house after night prayer. Wherever he went, the children threw stones on him. He requested the children to throw small stones on him to avoid bleeding from his body and not to spoil his ablution. He was not worried about his legs but he was worried about his prayers.

In his last days he met Ali Ibn Taleb radi allahu anhu and participated in the war of Seffin and died there. There is a group of people who consider themselves as Owaisia radi allahu anhu. For them there is no need of teacher and they do not have any source with them like Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni, but they are on the right path of religion due to the grace of god.

Owaise radi allahu anhu of Qarni has not seen the prophet but the prophet salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam did his internal training and this is fact. His position is very high and it is difficult for anybody to attain such a high position. Such greatness is due to the kindness and mercy of God. Whom God likes, will be given such a great position.

His grave is in a small village of Yemen, which is far away from capital Sana.

  4. MOHMMED A. HAFEEZ Says:

    TIPU SULTAN

This chapter only describes the death scene of Tipu Sultan, the tiger of Mysore. It does not cover his other great successes and war victories which he fought bravely against the British kingdom. The red flag on his tomb, over his grave in Srirangapatnam reminds every one that the tiger’s life of one minute is better than the jackal’s life of 1000 years. The future generations will remember this great martyr, who is still living in the hearts of the people and will remain in their heart always, as the martyr never die and remain alive always. It is said that there is a divine help and food available for them. Due to such greatness and martyrdom, daily great number of people are visiting his grand tomb to shed their tears and to pay respect and tribute to this great warrior of the world history.

Tipu Sultan reached the door of Fort of Srirangapatnam with his bodyguards and troops on 4th May 1799 for the fourth Mysore war. Due to his appearance there was a great encouragement for his soldiers who were fighting inside of the north gate and outside of fort walls. They attacked with great force on the army of the enemy. The Sultan got down from his horse and joined the first line of the military group. Immediately he was in the middle of many Mysorean military groups, safe and protected. The soldiers were fighting without care of their lives. By this time the British army had occupied their positions at the fort walls. The firing from the upper side was causing difficulties to the soldiers of Sultan who were fighting on the ground. The officers who were treacherous were absent from duty on that front, but this was not a problem for the soldiers of Sultan because the leader of their respect and freedom was with them. They forgot that the enemy had finished his journey of weeks and months in the shortest possible time and they had entered Srirangapatnam due to misdeeds of treacherous. So, it was not war but it was a treachery against the brave pillar of India, who stood against the colonial powers in India when all the local rulers had supported them. The soldiers of Sultan forgot that there was a rain of bullets on them and they also knew well that their great leader, who showed them the great way in their lives for freedom and respect, was at the door of the death. Sultan was wounded severally. The wounded soldiers of Sultan were feeling happy with their wounds on their chests. They were watching the brave face of the death. The blood of the Sultan was falling on the soil of Srirangapatnam. When the second bullet hit the Sultan there was weakness on the face of the tiger of Mysore, but he was still fighting bravely and many of his soldiers were also fighting with him without caring for their lives. Inside the trench there were large number of dead bodies of the enemy. Thousands of British, who were wounded severally, were dying. The firing from two sides on the walls of fort was very severe. Regarding the Mysorean soldiers, number of death crossed thousands. When the condition of Sultan became very serious due to wounds, then his bodyguards told the Sultan, “His Highness; now there is no other way except to surrender ourselves to the enemy?”

The Sultan replied, “No, for me the tiger’s life of one-minute is better than the jackal’s life of 1000 years.”

After some time, the Sultan and his officers rode on their horses and the Mysorean soldiers followed them. But when they reached the northern gate of the Fort they saw that some of the positions were in the control of the British enemy. A large number of soldiers, children, old persons and women were trying hard to go out of the Fort, but the British were pushing them inside the Fort with their guns and were forcing them to go to the backside of the Fort. When they saw the Mysorean army coming towards the gate, they started firing them. The firing was also started from the walls of Fort and a bullet hit the Sultan’s horse. It died on the spot. The Sultan fell on the ground and his turban also fell on the ground near him. But the Sultan was very brave, he tried and with great difficulty he was making himself stand when suddenly a bullet hit his chest. He fell on the ground again. A British soldier tried to open the belt of his sword but the Sultan was still alive and he did not allow the soldier to take out the sword. It was an insult to the Sultan. He fought bravely and hit the soldier with his sword with his full force, but the soldier opposed with his gun. The Sultan’s sword hit the gun and it broke into two pieces. That soldier then raised his gun up, pointed it towards his head and made the fire. The sun of Mysore, who had shown the beautiful stages of freedom to the people of Mysore, had set. After three hours of sun set the British army captured the city of Srirangapatnam and its Fort. The army of Hyderabad then entered the city under the command of Mir Alam. Inside the city, there were dead bodies of about 12 thousands soldiers of Mysorean army, but the success of the British and the Nizam’s army was incomplete, because they could not find the dead body of the great Tipu Sultan. They searched each and every corner and place of the palace. With the help of treacherous they searched the houses of the faithful soldiers and friends of the Sultan. The young prince was frightened. The wounded and helpless persons were asked about the Sultan. The soldiers of Sultan who were on the different fronts were also asked about the body of Sultan but they could not reply in this matter. The soldiers who had seen their Sultan falling from the horse on the ground could not reply them correctly even though they were offered money and wealth. Some of the Sultan’s soldiers thought that Sultan was alive and was under the pile of dead bodies. They waited for the proper time to take out the Sultan from it. Others thought that he was dead but they did not pointed his dead body so the enemy could not find his dead body. There were rumours that the Sultan was dead and his faithful followers had taken away his dead body. Some believed that Sultan had not died but he was wounded and disappeared and will come back again. He had left Srirangapatnam after the first attack between British and Hyderabad army troops and had reached prince Fateh Haider. He will make his head quarter at saraya or chital durg and will continue his attacks from there. These news not only created confusion among the army troops of British and Hyderabad but also to the treacherous who had sold the freedom of Mysore for the promises of land and wealth from their foreign lords. They were very much worried about their future when they had seen the fate of Mir Sadiq and Moin-ud-Din.

In the midnight, Mir Qamar-ud-Din, Pornia, and Badar-Uz-zaman were sitting in front of the palace of Sultan and were talking with English army officers. Some soldiers were around them and were holding torches in their hands. At that time Mir Nadeem came over and cried, “Now I got the correct information about Tipu Sultan that his dead body is there in front of north gate of the Fort under the pile of other dead bodies. So please follow me upto there.” All of them followed him and they reached that place where there were many dead bodies. On the order of British officers, all dead bodies were checked one by one. When they were doing so, one English soldier touched the hand of a corpse when his hand hit with some hard metal and the turban from corpse head had fallen down. The black long hair covered the face were open. The English soldier explained the details to his officer. When they brought the torches closer, they found a women’s corpse who was wearing golden bracelets in her hands. They found another women’s corpse, which was badly injured with many bullets. Pornia took torch from the soldier, carefully watched that woman and recognised her. The English officers asked him, “Are you able to recognise her?” Pornia said, “Yes, she is an orphan Hindu girl and her father was died in the last war. The Sultan had adopted her as his daughter.” “And who is another woman?”, asked English Officers. “I do not know about her. May be she belongs to the royal family.”, replied Pornia. After some time all the corpses were checked. When they saw the body of Sultan Tipu they were silent. Sultan’s dress was full of bloodstains but his face was full of grandeur and grace. In his hand was handle of his broken sword and his dress was same like his other army officers but his turban was different from others. Sultan’s turban fell down from his corpse. Badar-uz-Zaman had taken that turban. One English officer asked him, “Is this Tipu Sultan?” Mir Qamar-ud-Din replied in low voice, “Yes, congratulations for the victory.” One English soldier cried, “He is alive.” So some persons pointed their guns towards the body of Tipu Sultan. One English officer came forward, checked the pulse of Sultan, put his hand on the chest of Sultan and said, “He is dead.” Badar-uz-Zaman looked at the Sultan’s turban, touched it to his eyes with great respect and said, “We are his murders and not all of you. We had murdered him and our coming generations will put flowers of respect on his grave.” The English officer told Qamar-ud-Din that they are grateful to him and asked him to do arrangement to send the corpse in palki to the palace. He informed General Harris. After some time there were slogans of victory from all the corners of the Fort and with great joy and happiness the English soldiers moved to the houses of Mysorean people for plundering and looting. The other groups of British army, who were searching the Sultan, also followed them in looting and plundering the people’s properties and killing the innocent men and women. That night turned into a black night for the inhabitants of the Mysore city. There were cries from thousand of daughters of this nation but there was no reply for it. Due to the misdeeds of Mir Sadiq and others, all such things happened. The mother who had nourished with her milk to Mir Sadiq, the treacherous, was also ashamed. No house of Srirangapatnam was safe and secure from the brutality of the English army. The treacherous, who had helped Mir Sadiq,Pornia, Qamar-ud-Din and Moin-ud-Din were then thinking that they had not only sold away the freedom of Mysore but also they had sold the respect and value of their daughters and women. The soldiers of Sultan killed Mir Sadiq and Mir Moin-ud-Din before they received their reward of treachery from their foreign lords. Their souls must be watching the misdeeds of British army doing wrong in their houses for whom they had made the way of entry to the city of Srirangapatnam. Their daughters and women were in distress condition due to the misdeeds of the drunkard soldiers. Those women cried and appealed as follows.

I am wife of Mir Sadiq. I am his sister. I am his daughter. This is the house of Mir Moin-ud-Din and he was friend of Lord Welsly. General Harris knew him very well and you can see his corpse in the other room. The people had killed him because he was a friend of the British army, so you should not do harm to the families of the faithful persons to East India Company and to the daughters and women of the nation. I am son of Mir Moin-ud-Din and these are my sisters and this is my wife, please take me to General Harris. But there was no reply from the soldiers except their laugh and cruel misdeeds. The soldiers of Sultan’s army, who were disappointed with the result of war, started protecting their houses against the cruel deeds of the British soldiers who were drunk and were very busy in the evil deeds of looting and plundering. There was stream of Blood in the streets and bazaars of the city.

On the next day, at about four O’clock, the Sultan’s funeral procession started and was followed by prince, officers and four companies of the British army. The faithful wounded soldiers of the Sultan and other persons were ahead and were holding the sultan on their shoulders. There was lot of fear and terror in the city due to looting and plundering which took place in last night. Streets and bazaars were vacant. When the funeral procession left the Fort all men, women and children from all the communities joined it with heavy heart. On the way the number of people increased and their fear and terror decreased gradually. They were considering themselves as the most unfortunate people and were thinking that the Sultan’s corpse is their guard. The men of Srirangapatnam wept loudly and women untied their braids in the grief of the Sultan’s death. When the funeral procession left the Fort, the wind was very slow at that time and there was too much humidity in the atmosphere. The people were watching a dangerous storm on the horizon. After some time a black storm covered the entire sky. When the procession reached Lal Bagh and the qazi finished the funeral prayer, the corpse was placed respectfully in the grave. At that time there was severe thundering in the sky. People were very afraid of it. The British army was ordered for the gun salute but the sound of the guns was not heard clearly because of the thundering of clouds. It seemed that the sky was making ‘arrangement’ to welcome the soul of great Tipu Sultan.

The darkness in the atmosphere and the thundering of lightening increased and due to this the houses and doors started shaking in the city. General Meadows, Major Beatson and Ellen had descried this black storm in their diaries in which they had written that lightening had fallen on some parts of city of Srirangapatnam as well on the British army camp of Bombay in which two soldiers were dead and a large number of soldiers were severally wounded. The treacherous, who were in the procession under the custody of the British soldiers, were very afraid of this. Immediately after the funeral started the heavy rain and the streets and bazaars of Srirangapatnam were full of water. After some time some officers and soldiers of the Mysorean army noticed the flood in the river Kaveri. An old army officer wept loudly and said, “I have not seen such a flood in the river Kaveri in the first week of May ever in my life. Oh! Treacherous of Mysore, you should have waited for one more day as the God was willing to help us but you have missed that chance. On that day if you had not opened the doors of Srirangapatnam then we could have defeated the enemy without wasting our single bullet.” He then said, “Oh! My friends, for this day the Sultan was waiting. How unfortunate we are that the clouds which would have witnessed our success, they are washing the tears of our defeated soldiers.”

    The Verse Fateha (The opening)

It is difficult Your praise and it is hidden virtues in all
You are visible there at all and are there in everything
All particles, You are created from the beginning to end
You are Sustainer in this world, but also in another world
You are Lord of the worlds and you are forgiver of all
You are kind and Your kind favor is there for all persons
For who are pious then You are merciful to such persons
Your favour is there for them and You are kind to them
You are the owner, all will settle deeds on judgment day
In your hands penalty and a prize and You are the owner
All our worship for Your sake, oh Lord of the two worlds
All are Your slaves from the origin, if he is big or small
For all needs you are must and Your personality is kind
You give all who calls You as You are a kind helper to all
Guide us such right path on which path who went away
With Your graces and passed away on such path indeed
But there will be no such way, which is ignored by You
So who lost and misguided on such way due to your anger
This is pray of your slave and its is request of the lowest
Accept prayer of Sahwi as you are an owner of the worlds.

he 100th episode from Khair Majalis by Mohammed Abdul Hafeez

    The 100th Episode

The felicity of the kissing of the feet of the Sheikh available to me. He said, “ There was one wise person and there was continual starvation for some days for him. When he will not get food, then he went to the riverside. Where there were fallen the leaves of apricot and which were thrown by the gardener. The Hakim (wise person) due to hunger took the leaves and began eating them. One rich person who is interested in the worldly matters came there. Upon seeing the Hakim he was getting down from the horse and after paying him salutation and the respect he told in conversation to Hakim that, “ If you live in the company of the king then he will be away from the condition of eating of the leaves.”
Then Hakim told in the same way of advice and love to him that, “ If he will be content of the yellow leaves of the apricot, then he will be free from the disgrace company of the worldly people.”
The compiler of the book Khair al-Majalis says that he heard this story by Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib and he was writing this narration in his Malfuzat (speeches) book. Then I told him that, “He was seen Hadrat Burhanuddin Gharib in his dream and who is asking him whether his book was completed.? I have said, “Yes ”. Then he was brought one book before me and which he was opened and read by him. And from the book it seems it was appeared gold from it. He was given me that book and then he said to the people of the meeting that “ Such grace should be given to him”.

    The End.

    The album of Bider

View of Mahmood Gawan’s Islamic college campus Bider
Oh : the great and lovely land of the Bider
Your position is higher than other places and lands
You are older than high Himalayan mountains
In you green valleys and lovely scenes are full
Like a place of Kashmir in the area of Deccan
On an elevated land, it is located in the world
Your soil is pure and it is a good remedy for all cure
With blood of sincerity, all the parts of its soil are full
There is the light of knowledge of the past in all places
Your stones and mounts are source of history of Deccan
It was a center of Royal Kingdom of the Balawnt Kings
In the past, there were peace and every heart was happy
In the book of Gita, your story of the history is known
At that time of your height when Krishna was young
So it was much attracted to the land of Bider
Dementia was born there and become young
Like a flower of lotus, her face was such brilliant
The look of the girl was known and attracted in the land
Nail like great hero was also born in the land of Bider
Dementia’s beauty was like lotus and Nail was her lover
Afterward, the Muslim rulers improved condition of Bider
Touhid of Islam was first time spread on land of Bider
Triumphs and success stories about them are all famous
Their stories of miracles of swords were well known to all
Oh : land of Bider you have the quality of elixir in you
The Kings of Bahmani were settled on the land of Bider
Those kings made it the center of knowledge and arts
And in which established there many industries and crafts
Afterward, Baridi kings made here garden of civilization
So at that time your luck was bright as the full moon
Due to running on time all was lost and nothing remained
The cities and all dwelling palaces and areas were over
And soil left on them, everywhere things were finished
Even mosques and temples and other places
They are no more there and become demolished
All color paintings and everything are in the soil
Even in the royal courts, there are big pits are full
And grass and thorns are full so it is difficult to go there
Everywhere there is atmosphere of sadness and grief
In the royal tombs, great, mighty kings are sleeping
Their history and records are mentioned in their tablets
On stones and tiles story of the rulers is mentioned there
The success and down time details of the Muslim kings
So oh land of Bider you know their good glories well
There are seven great tombs of the Bahmani Kings
Known like the seven skies which are down and disperse
In which one can find and see their great history records
In the royal tombs world famous kings are sleeping there
It is a great scene of lesson to lookers of these buildings
Also, there are Barids Kings buildings in broken condition
At Royal palaces, there are full of wild birds and animals
The kings are helpless in the soil, watching story of time
The royal tombs are hallmarks of beauty and grandeur
From tablets of kings, their record of ruling is well known
Due to great buildings, there is an effect on the visitors
Once a college there which was a center of the kingdom
And it was known center of learning, but now no more.
So this center was well known in the world and famous
Mahmud was a servant of the school and a national hero
Who was famous with the grand name of Mahmud Gawan
His college’s campus, which reminds all Mahmud Gawan.
Also, its one building portion was damaged by striking
And remaining minaret is saying the following
That everything will meet its end and God is eternal
So many learned persons are buried in your land
Known as servants of mankind and the Sufis of their time
Also, pious persons and innocents are buried in your land
Numbers of Islamic great persons are resting in your land
So keep all of them safe in their final resting place
Now the rule of the Hyderabad Kings commenced
So they should show the new color of victory and records
And to display the world with knowledge and teachings
To discover the lost treasure from the land and renew the
Great achievements of glorious persons of past kingdom
So that world should surprise in this matter for this act
And from such heights number of great people will bear
And to flourish the valleys of flower in the land of Bider
So that lovely daughters like Dementia will born again
Also like great sons like Mahmud will re-appear there
Oh : the leader of mankind, Bider show the world the
The right path towards success and love of the mankind.

In Madina, there is the grave of the prophet, which is visited by angels
It is such grave, which is having excellence over the empyrean in the sky

It is there any relation with a desert of Madina with the gardens?
So with the atmosphere of Madina it is envious the garden of paradise

If Madina city is safe then everything is safe
So Allah keeps it as the cause of the blessing

Madina is such a garden city which is the décor of all gardens
The seasons of the gardens of paradise are due to the city of Madina

While leaving Madina, there is no need to visit the garden of paradise
As it is better than the paradise and it is living paradise on the earth

Not we but Allah also love the city of Madina
The love of Madina is like the love the prophet

The beggar of this door is the king of the fate and worlds
The beggar of this place is a matter of envy of the kings

One who has become rich there so his fate could not understand it
In the resurrection day prophet Ibrahim will find the help there

Oh Allah help us to reach Madina to enable to see how it is there?
Where befall the mercy and there is available blessing everywhere?

If one leaves Madina then he will not find the fragrance of heaven
If there is love of Madina then it is guaranteed of the heaven

On the earth he is called Mohammed and called Ahmed in the skies
His praise is well in the world as well as his praise is found in the skies

There is his rule in Madina also he is a ruler of the skies
Madina is the capital and he is ruler of the two worlds

What mistake you did Akhtar by leaving the city of Madina
As it is such heaven, and desired by the angles of the empyrean

Why Akhtar will go to heaven by leaving the city of Madina
What is the heaven as it is gracefully for the sake of Madina city?

In praise of Hazrat Syed Shah Ghulam Afzal Biabani

He was my great master and my teacher of higher status
Who is famous in the world of the saintliness and worship

His personality is different from others and a very unique
Like outcome of light and he was created by the Allah the great

His holy head was a secret of the divine riches and treasure
And he was having the bright face and the white forehead

With the overpower of his eyes there finds the majesty of Allah
So in his sight there was the look of the world of earth and sky

The eyebrows were like the bow and the lighted eyes
Who was used to busies himself in the divine light

He was never kept idle tongue without the invocation of Allah
Always there have been in his heart love and the glory of Allah

His hands were always open for the grants to other persons
And he never left the beggars without any help and favour

With the thick bread and his lovely white complexion
Was found the prevalence of the light of heart on his body

With wide body and also strong will of being with him
The kind heart of the master and was well known to all

There was very much indigence with his personality
But due to his grand dignity all poor and rich bow to him

He used to behave well with all with the treatment of love
And there was no distinction of age of the elder or younger

He always used to give much respect to all visitors
And used to ask and inquire about the care of all

Even during the time of endurance of the illness
The name of the Lord always there on his tongue

His turban of saffron colour was kept always on his head
And he was used to have the loose robe on his body

The staff he was carried in his hand in his daily life
The style of his walking was with dignity and grace

He always used to hear all the calls of his slaves
And used to convince and help them in the matters

Not in a thousand, but in hundred thousand he was un-similar
And he was person of Allah in the people of indigent persons

It is not possible to cover all his qualities and his manners
But it made possible for me to bring his picture from my heart

It is pray of Quader that his sight be available to all
Which made possible for them by the grace of the Lord.

And who used to visit in the service of the Hadrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani in Kazipet and who used to say that he was sitting as Qutub in Hanamakonda as per instruction of the Qazi Sahib. When Hazrat abdul Nabi Saheb will visit Kazipet then Hadrat Hadrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani used to care very much of the hospitality of him and without giving him food he will not allow to leave from there. Hazrat Murad Shah Dhoti Hyderabad

Mausoleum of Hazrat Murad Shah Dhoti in Murad Nagar Hyderabad

    Translated by
    Mohammed Abdul Hafeez

    Hyderabad, India

    Hazrat Murad Shah Dhoti Hyderabad

    In the praise of Hazrat
    Murad Shah Dhoti Hyderabad

Oh, Shah of Hyderabad, you are very old and very famous
For this reason, in the city, there are many devotees are there
Oh, Shah so it is regret for Hafeez that he did not visit your shrine
So for this reason, kindly ignore this great mistake by your slave
In your life, there were happened many miracles with you in the city
And which I have mentioned in this article for the readers’ guide
Oh Shah due to your miracles the place become as Murad Nagar
You have turned the requests of the people in the final approval
The word Murad is mean as wish so the place become Murad Nagar
Oh, Shah of kindness, you are helping city people for a long time
So kindly continue your favour and kindness at the present time
At last Hafeez is at your door of favour, so do not ignore him

His name is Murad Shah and alias as Shah Dhoti. His original native place is Karanja in Aurangabad region. In the book Miskawat Nabwa it is mentioned that he was a disciple and caliph of Shah Fazil. The writer of book Anwar Khiwal mentioned that “He was a disciple and the caliph of Hazrat Amin Ala. But the first tradition is found correct in this matter.” He was migrated from his native to Hyderabad Deccan. And he was settled down in the City of the Hyderabad. He was among holy persons who came later time and among them he was well known and incomparable and away from the world and all that is in it. He was well known in the world for his miracles and supernatural acts. The general and special persons know him as Qutub (highest cadre in spiritual pivot) of Qutub persons. Actually, his personality was a place of attraction of mankind as well as a place of fulfillment for the desires and wishes of the hopeless persons. He belongs to Malamati (censured) category of the Fakir persons and he used to wear Dhoti (waist piece) instead of the Lungi (thick color sheet to cover the lower part of the body) and keep Teka on the forehead and which is worn a blot a kind of an ornament of the forehead. In the food and drink system, he was used to following the method of the Hindu persons. He used to eat the food prepared by himself. When he will use to attend the meeting of the Fakir person then he will ask flour and other things of ripe and dry from the organizer of the meeting and used to go some clean place and then he himself prepare food and eat there. He did not use to eat food items prepared by Hindu and Muslim persons. The author of the book Miskawat Nibwa has written that “One day Shams Moula on the occasion of Urs ceremony of Shah Mahmood at the hills had invited all Fakirs and darwesh persons there. So he was also present at the festival there.
All Fakirs and darwesh persons were agreed and were said to Shams Moula that on all occasions and all celebrations Murad Shah used to collect first kneaded flour, but this time you give him flour at the last of all of the other persons otherwise we all leave this celebration for this reason. So, for this reason, Shams Moula has hesitated in this matter. But when Hazrat Murad Shah was also heard this conversation on this matter by himself. And so he said to Shams Moula that you follow the saying of the Fakir and darwesh persons and he will arrange for his food after all of them. Then all Fakirs and darwesh persons had eaten food first. But upon eating of the food by all Fakirs and darwesh persons who all had vomited the food at the same time. And nobody from Fakir and darwesh persons did not live in the best condition on that occasion and all have become in the worst condition of the health. So, for this reason, all Fakir and darwesh persons were had realized his miracle. And they all have regrets with him for their humour in this matter. His personality was like purgatory among the fakir’s person of Islam and infidelity
The author of the book Anwar Akhyar who has mentioned that “ Once a time there came some Hindu ascetic and his disciples in the city and they stayed in the city. Hazrat Shah Murad was also joined in their gathering as he was same and similar in shape and face, dress and as well as in the body organization. So, for this reason, the master of Hindu ascetics thought him as Hindu ascetic and was, called him and was given a place to sit near with many manners. They have joined him in eating and drinking. He was eating food there and he left from there. Somebody had informed the Hindu ascetics that he was the Muslim Fakir person so for this reason all were regretted in their hearts. At last the master of the Hindu ascetics came into his presence along with his disciples. And he told him that “ Oh Hazrat you have caused us to oust us from our nation and the community.” He told him that “Whoever who have said about him is not right. He belongs to your nation and community. The proof of incontrovertible in this matter is that I am an uncircumcised person. Then he opened his waist piece. And all have seen that he is still uncircumcised. So they said that surely this fakir belongs to us. They said that congratulation that today we have seen Mahadev (the great God).
Then after that Fakir and darwesh persons in the City of Hyderabad have been attacked upon him. And they began saying different matters about him. So he has become helpless in this condition. So he was opened, his waist piece and all have seen that he was in the circumcised condition as per rules and regulation of Islamic religion. So, for this reason, all fakir and darwesh persons were regretted upon watching his miracle.
Hazrat Rimz Ilahi who was the perfect, pious person who came to his mausoleum to meet him on 12th Ramadan and after circumambulation and reciting of Fateha and he was sitting there in meditation and in the world of souls what he was seeing that Shah Murad in present there. And the Shah has shaken hands with him. And he was taken him in one house which was there at the highest level and which was in a good atmosphere. And he was saying this is his place and asylum.
At last, he was left for another world on the 11th Jamad Thani in the year 1140 Hegira. He was buried out of the city of Hyderabad in the village Malkapur near the grave of Shah Abdul Wahab Quaderi in Asifnagar area. The people of the Hyderabad Deccan have good faith with him and his mausoleum which is famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the persons who visit his mausoleum. So it can be said that from the mausoleum of Hazrat Shah Murad they able to get fulfilled their wish and desire (Murad). In the olden time, there was a grant of Rupees hundred from the government of Nizam of Hyderabad for the arrangement of annual Urs at the mausoleum.

    The End.

    🌸 Ramadhaan Series 🌸

    🌿 Signs of Laylatul-Qadr🌿

Laylatul Qadr is the best night of the entire year and worship during it is more rewarding than worship of a thousand months.

🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Whoever stays up and prays on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

    But “when” is Laylatul Qadr?
    Nobody really knows…

But we’re encouraged to look for it in the last ten nights of Ramadhaan,

🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadhaan.” [Muslim 2/823]

The reason WHY it’s hidden from us is because this way we will worship Allaah in all the last ten nights of Ramadhaan and thus earn even more rewards and have a greater hope of having our sins forgiven.

Here are some signs that only “point” to the timing of Laylatul-Qadr but these signs are not “absolute”.

1️⃣ The sun rises without rays

The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“On the morning following Laylatul-Qadr the sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up.”(Muslim)

2️⃣ The moon is like half a plate

Abu Hurairah radhi Allaahu anhu said :

“We were discussing Laylatul-Qadr in the presence of Allaah’s Messenger so he said : ‘Which of you remembers [the night] when the moon arose and was like half a plate…?” (Muslim)

3️⃣ The night is very calm, tranquil and pleasant.

The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Laylatul-Qadr is calm and pleasant, neither hot nor cold, the sun arises on its morning being feeble and red.” [at-Tayaalisee, Ibn Khuzaimah and al-Bazzaar with a Hasan Isnad].

    Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen said:

“From amongst the signs of Laylatul-Qadar is that it is a calm night and the believer’s heart is delighted and at peace with it, and he becomes active in doing good actions, and the sun on the following morning rises clearly without any rays.”
    (Fataawa Ramadhaan – Volume 2, Page 852)

And in another hadeeth, the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Laylat al-Qadr is a bright night, neither hot nor cold, in which no meteors are seen.”
    [al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, Ahmad; saheeh]

4️⃣ There might be light rain

Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri radhi Allaahu anhu said:

“The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“I have been shown the Night of ‘Qadr’, but have forgotten the date, but it is in the odd nights of the last 10 nights.
I saw in my dream that I was prostrating in mud and water.”
In those days the roof of the masjid was made of branches of date palm trees.
At the same time the sky was clear and no cloud visible, but suddenly a cloud came and it rained.
The Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam led us in the prayer and I saw the traces of mud on the forehead and the nose of the Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam. So it was the confirmation of that dream.”
    [al-Bukhaari (2027) and Muslim (1167)]

These are “SOME” of the signs of Laylatul-Qadr.

But just because ‘some’ or ‘all ‘of these signs are there, it does not mean that it’s Laylatul-Qadr for *sure*.

But we HOPE with Allaah that we may have witnessed this blessed night and we make duaa that Allaah accepts it from us.

    So do your VERY BEST.
Strive HARD in worship in ALL the last ten nights of Ramadhaan.
    Make FIRM resolve
    Seek SINCERE Taubah.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
    Don’t let it go.

    And Allaah knows best

  65. hafeeezanwar Says:

🌷 “Can’t do much this Ramadhaan? Don’t worry. Allaah is Most Merciful!”

Perhaps you’re a mother of young kids.

Or you’re a father who has to work full time to provide for his family.

Or maybe you’re sick and you’re not able to worship Allaah the way you used to.

    So you *worry*.

You see all these people doing so much during Ramadhaan, staying up at night for Qiyaam, reading Qur’aan during the day, worshipping Allaah in so many ways, making the most of this blessed month.

And you want to do it too.
    You *also* want to stay up at night for Qiyaam;
You *also* want to read Qur’aan all day.
You *also* want to spend Ramadhaan in the worship of Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala.
    *But you CAN’T!*

    You have responsibilities;
You have young kids and that itself is a full time job.
Or your job hours are such that by the time you get home in the evening, you’re exhausted!
Or your health and age is such that you barely get even the obligatory deeds done.

You feel guilty, frustrated, and sad.
    You feel inadequate and deficient.

Well, I’m here to tell you…
    Don’t.

Don’t* feel guilty or frustrated or sad.

Our Deen is beautiful and it is easy.

Alhamdulillaah the very fact that you’re looking after your kids and doing your best to raise them is *itself ibaadah*

And that full time job you’re holding and working hard to provide for your family, is also an act of ibaadah.

And doing the best you can, under any circumstances, even sickness, is also ibaadah.

🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of his household and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the shepherd of her husband’s household and is responsible for her flock…”
    (al-Bukhaari and Muslim)

Also keep in mind that Allaah is Most Merciful, Most Generous.

We don’t actually have to DO something, in order to get the rewards, if it’s beyond our capacity.

Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala KNOWS your situation and KNOWS what is in your heart.

He knows you WANT to do extra ibaadaat, read the Qur’aan, stay up for Taraaweeh and tahajjud.

Just because of your *good intentions*, Allaah will reward you, because you *would* have done it *if* you had the chance, but you’re not *able* to do as much.

    🍃Allaah says:

“So keep your duty to Allaah and fear Him as much as you can”
    [al-Taghaabun 64:16]

🍃 Thats why Muadh radhi Allaahu anhu would say:

“I sleep and I get up (to pray at night), and I seek reward for my sleep as I seek reward for my getting up.” (al-Bukhaari)

    🌷So what can I do❓

Just do your best and pray your five daily prayers on time, fast during the day and pay attention to what Allaah has prohibited especially your tongue.

As for anything extra, do whatever is EASY for you.

Maybe after you pray Ishaa you can pray just two or four rakaat taraaweeh.
You don’t have to read 20.

Then just delay your witr until before your suhoor.

You would be waking up for suhoor any way.
So you can pray even one rakah witr at that time and that will count as tahajjud.

And you don’t have to read the entire Qur’aan if you’re not able to.
You can read even half a page of the Qur’aan or a couple of Aayaat every day and still gain rewards.

You can also do dhikr during the day when you are able.

And you can play the recording of the Qur’aan whenever you get a chance.
*Listening* to the Qur’aan is ALSO a beautiful act of ibaadah.

You can also make duaa, send peace and blessings on the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam, do a lot of Istighfaar while you’re busy.

Spending charity in the path of Allaah is also ibaadah.

🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.” (Ibn Maajah 4240; saheeh by al-Albaani)

So Alhamdulillaah there are many ways in our Deen where you can *earn a great deal of reward* with *little actions*.

When a person forms a definite intention to do good deed, something prevents him from doing that, he will still be rewarded for it.

🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“No (believing) person gets sick, but (his deeds) will be recorded for him in accordance with what he used to do when he was well.” (al-Bukhaari)

🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:

“Whoever goes to his bed intending to get up and pray at night, then his eyes overwhelm him and (he sleeps) until morning, *the (reward for) that which he intended will be written for him*, and his sleep is a *charity* for him given by his Lord, Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala.”
    (al-Nasaa’i, 1787; Ibn Maajah, 1344; saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 601)

🍃 And the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam also said:

“Whoever sincerely asks Allaah for martyrdom will attain the status of the martyrs *even if he dies in his bed.”* (Muslim, 1909)

    Subhaan Allaah!

There are many other ahaadeeth that show us that we will get the reward of good deeds, IF we sincerely wanted to do them but we’re prevented for some reason.

Such is the Mercy of Allaah!

So have faith in Allaah, do your best and leave the rest to Him.

🔺In the end, remember the most important point….

Our deeds are NOT the reason for entry into Jannah.

    It’s Allaah’s Mercy.

🍃The Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam said:

“No one’s deeds will ever admit him to Paradise.”
They said, “Not even you, O Messenger of Allaah?”
He said, “No, not even me, unless Allaah showers me with His Mercy.
So try to be near to perfection.”
    (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

    So do your best.
And have trust in Allaah and know that He’s the One Who accepts our good deeds and multiplies them as He likes.

He can take that “small” deed of yours and make it into a mountain if He so wishes. 💙

May Allaah accept from all of us and forgive us Ameen.

    English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) came out to inform us about the Night of Qadr but two Muslims were quarreling with each other. So, the Prophet said, “I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr but such and such persons were quarreling, so the news about it had been taken away; yet that might be for your own good, so search for it on the 25th, 27th and 29th (of Ramadan).

    [Al-Bukhari Volume 3, Book 32, Number 240]

Lesson : We learn from this Hadith that Suhur is a distinctive mark with which Allah has blessed the Muslim Ummah. We learn from this Hadith that Lailat-ul-Qadr occurs in any of the last three odd nights – 25th, 27th and 29th – of the last ten nights of Ramadan. Its exact date has not been revealed for the reason that people keep themselves awake for prayer for a larger number of nights. Had its date been fixed, people would have kept awake for prayer only on that night.

The etiquette of finishing the recitation of the Qur’an

    T
here’s really nothing much to do after completing the recitation of the Qur’aan except that you may make duaa.

When Anas radhi Allaahu anhu used to finish reciting the Qur’aan, he would gather his family and make duaa.

That’s because GENERALLY SPEAKING, duaa is MORE LIKELY to be accepted after completing ANY good deed.

One strange event :Syed Fazal Ali Shah who has mentioned one strange event. As it was seen by him so, for this reason, there is no reason to think about its doubt and its correctness in this matter. He has written that “ The prince Jehangir who used to becoming ill three times in one month in his younger age. And Abu Fazal who used to watch this event with much doubt and he has said to King Akbar that “Even though Shah Abdulla who is your spiritual master but he is throwing arrows on the prince and for some of them we will become shield and will be stopping them but as per the requirement of the human nature when we will become careless in this matter then the arrows will touch him.Upon hearing this King Akbar was becoming silent and he did not say anything in this matter. This news was reached to Shah Abdalla. He has said that “He will clarify about doubt to King Akbar at the later time.”
After some time there came the recitation of the Bismillah ceremony the king has sent his message to Shah Abdalla as follows.
“ To forgive the mistake of this person and come to this place and perform the recitation ceremony of Bismillah of the prince Jehangir by your miraculous tongue and which will be the cause of well being. The king has sent this letter to him and also he was sending planquin, elephants and horses and 500 soldiers. When shah Abdallah has reached Agra from Gwalior then ceremony has arranged. The king and courtiers who have kissed his foot. The king who was laying down himself on his foot due to his humility then he has raised his head from his foot and has told him that “ Jalal Uddin Mohammed Akbar you are a disciple of my father we fakir used to cause favour. I am is the son the shaikh and his caliphate. Regarding the charge of the enmity of the prince Jehangir by us and sending arrows upon him. This does not work on this fakir but his work is to stop such arrows.” The compiler of the book not translated important Persian text into the Urdu language so the English translator of this book translated this important Persian text directly into English. At that time the author of these pages Fazal Ali shah who was present. King Akbar upon hearing the above was becoming silent and did not say anything in this matter.
Then shaikh was becoming very angry and he has said that “As per the promise of the late shaikh we have not done arrowing work in this matter. If he will involve in the sending arrow work then who has power with him to stop them.If this fakir wants to send his arrows from his bow of the heart then who will save his life in this matter.
He has said the above and who was taken a deep sigh of passion. After this, there was came and loud and cry from the royal palace building. The emasculate persons came from there by running from the harem side and have informed that the prince was died upon becoming unconscious. When this condition was known to all then all persons in the palace were surprised in this matter. And there was created a condition of the loud and cry.So, for this reason, the King Akbar and his courtiers who caught his foot and requested him to forget. Then Hazrat told to this darwesh Fazal Ali Shah to bring some big thing there. The fakir told to the king who was given instruction to bring two elephants before Shah Saheb. Then Shah Sahib after some time has put his look of anger upon two elephants. So for this reason elephants were died by trouble and pain immediately. After the death of the elephants then there came emasculate persons by running and have informed that the prince was stood and was becoming healthy. After this recitation ceremony of the Bismillah was performed in the palace of the King Akbar. After the ceremony King, Akbar was kissed the foot of the Shah Saheb. And he was presented him gold, silver and property in the service of the Shah Saheb. He was stayed some days in Agra and then he was coming back to Gwalior.

    Ramadhaan Series 🌸

    🔺Mistakes related to Eid al-Fitr

🔺 Mistake #1: Celebrating the night before Eid (“Chand Raat”) in FORBIDDEN ways:

Some people do the exact opposite of the above and spend the night before Eid, singing, dancing , listening to music, with free mixing of men and women, lack of hijaab and hayaa’.

They forget the promises they made to Allaah during Ramadhaan to stay away from haraam.

Do you really want to throw away all your hard work and effort you put in worship during Ramadhaan for just a few hours of utterly useless waste of time?

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with applying henna, getting together with mahram family members and having halaal fun, if you want as a celebration for Eid.

But just remember moderation is the key to everything.

🔺 Mistake #2: Fasting on the Day of Eid

It is haraam to fast on the Day of Eid, as most of us know Alhamdulillaah.

“He (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) forbade fasting on the day of (Eid) al-Fitr and the day of al-Nahr (Eid al-Adha).” (Bukhaari, Muslim)

🔺 Mistake #3: Women mixing with the men

It is not right for women and men to freely mix and mingle and hang out with each other for no reason, if they are not mahrams, whether throughout the year or during Eid.

But we see a lot of brothers and sisters talking, joking, mixing, “eyeing” each other on Eid, although Allaah has told both the believing men and the believing women to lower their gaze.

Worse than that is when we see some totally non-mahram brothers and sisters shaking hands with each other or even hugging non-mahrams for “Eid”.

Don’t forget, it is not permissible to shake hands of non-mahrams, EVEN if it is Eid!

🍃The Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:

‘If one of you were to be struck in the head with an iron needle, it would be better for him than if he were to touch a woman he is not allowed to.”
    (al-Tabaraani; saheeh by al-Albaani).

🔺 Mistake #4: Women going out wearing perfume and makeup, tight clothing and no hijaab

This is such a serious issue, yet many people take this matter so lightly.

Throngs and throngs of young beautiful Muslim girls walk out into the prayer area and other places, all decked up with the most beautiful clothes, jewelry, make-up, perfume… for all the world to see.

    Subhaan Allaah!

What happened to all your ibaadaat, the ayaat of the Quraan you read about Hijaab, the promises you made to Allaah to be good?

Remember dear sister, that it is FARDH for an adult Muslim woman to wear hijaab and cover herself and her hair.

And we will be asked about Hijaab on the Day we stand in front of Allaah.

    🍃Allaah says:

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the believing women to draw their cloaks all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Ahzaab:59].

🍃And the Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:

“Any woman who puts on perfume and passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance, is an adulteress.”
    (al-Nasaa’i, al-Tirmidhi-hasan )

🔺 Mistake #5: Listening to music and attending Eid parties with haraam things.

It is forbidden in our Deen to listen to music, yet people take this matter very lightly too.
It’s everywhere…on TV and on the radio, in cars, homes and marketplaces, and even on cell phones.

On Eid day, you see people driving by, music playing full blast, ‘enjoying Eid’,, thinking it’s ok to do so.

They forget that there is no joy, no blessing in the disobedience to Allaah.

This confirms the words of the Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) who said:

“There will be among my ummah people who will regard adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments as permissible.”
    (Bukhaari)

Yes, it is from the Sunnah to enjoy the celebration of Eid, but always remember to observe the limits prescribed by Islaam.

🔺 Mistake # 6: Not saying the Takbeeraat out loud (for men) or at the right time.

Saying the takbeeraat out loud is one of the greatest Sunnahs on the day of Eid because Allaah says:

“(He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allaah [i.e. to say Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him”
    [al-Baqarah:185]

According to Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, the time for takbeer begins when it is proven that the new moon of Shawwaal has been sighted or thirty days of Ramadaan have been completed.

And it ends when the Eid prayer begins.
    (Majmoo’ Fataawa Ibn ‘Uthaymeen)

Men should raise their voices reciting this dhikr wherever they may be, in the masjids, in their cars or homes, etc. but women should say it softly, without raising their voices.

🔺 Mistake # 7: “Feeling RELIEVED that Ramadhaan is finally over!”

Some people “can’t wait” for Ramadhaan to be over and feel a sense of ‘relief’ once it ends, as if released from some kind of jail, Aaoodhu Billaah.

It’s like they were waiting for their ‘sentence’ to end and now they are ‘free’!

May Allaah protect us from that kind of thinking.

Remember, this fasting, this Ibaadah, this opportunity for dua and forgiveness is really a blessing on us, rather than hardship.

It is really for our own good and it is nobody but US that will benefit at the end.

Not only does fasting help us control our desires and train us for the rest of the year, but it also gives us compassion for the poor, as well as many physical and spiritual benefits.

But most of all, it brings us closer to Alaah and instills Taqwa in our hearts and is a means for attaining Jannah and avoiding the fire of Hell.

May Allah accept our ibaadaat and enable us to keep up the training of Ramahan for the rest of the year. Ameen

    And Allah knows best.

  74. hafeeezanwar Says:

    Eid Ul Fitr mubarak
I want to congratulate all Muslims who have fasted for the sake of Allah even during these tough times.
Many of us may not be able to hug each other or meet each other in person this Eid. But that does not mean that the cheer for Eid should or will be any less. Though we may not be physically close to our friends and family we can still share in the celebrations with them.

On this auspicious day, call your friends and family. Congratulate them for successfully completing all their fasts and prayers and don’t let them be lonely this day.

  77. hafeeezanwar Says:

    Ritual Purity

The Prophet Muhammad left detailed guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives, including how to pray, fast and stay ritually pure.
This guidance is available in collections called the Hadith.

According to Islamic law, there are minor and major impurities.
Minor impurities involve urinating, defecating and sleeping, among other practices.
A person of Muslim faith is supposed to perform a ritual washing of their bodies before praying to get rid of these minor impurities.
‘Wudu’ is to be performed, as was done by the Prophet Muhammad, in a specific order before praying, which takes place five times a day. Before each prayer, Muslims are expected to wash themselves in a certain order –
first hands, then mouth, nose, face, hair and ears, and finally their ankles and feet.
While washing with water is required when it is available, if a person has limited access to water, then a Muslim is permitted to symbolically “cleanse” their hands and face with dust or sometimes sand or other natural materials.

A Quranic verse says: “And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, God is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.”

A hadith from the prophet also describes the Earth as a purifying agent if there is a scarcity of water for washing.

Major impurity is defined in Islamic texts as occurring after sexual activity or when a woman completes her menstrual cycle. A Muslim woman should not pray during her menstrual cycle. To purify oneself after such an impurity, a Muslim is required to take a shower, called “ghusl.” A person needs to wash their entire body, from head to toe, including their hair.

    Spiritual Actions.

Preparing for prayer by washing one’s body using water can be a deeply spiritual act for Muslims. Islamic studies scholar Paul Powers argues it isn’t “empty ritualism,” but an embodied practice that helps the individual center on an inner religiosity.

Similarly, another Islamic studies scholar, Marion Katz, explains in her 2002 book “Body of Text” that the importance of wudu lies in its symbolic cleansing. It does not always cleanse the parts of the body that are “physically involved in the pollution act.”

Ritual purity is different from hygienic practices, although Islam also emphasizes good hygiene. Muslims take care to wash often, including using water after going to the bathroom.

    Aligning with public health guidelines

In view of the corona virus risk, Muslim leaders around the world,
including in the U.S., have aligned their religious opinions with public health experts.

Muslim institutions have begun to recommend that people make sure to wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap before doing wudu. Emphasizing that wudu alone cannot prevent the virus from spreading, other Islamic institutions recommend that mosques supply extra soap and hand sanitizer near the washing area.

They have issued rulings to cancel Friday prayers, urged Muslims to wash their hands with soap regularly, refrain from touching their face and practice social distancing.

While people have cleared local store shelves of hand sanitizers, wipes, cleaning supplies, gloves and masks, basic hygiene practices remain the best way to prevent the spread of the corona virus and other viruses.

At this time, Islamic practices that emphasize purity of body could help reiterate
the importance of hygienic practices along with the use of soap or hand sanitizer,
to reduce one’s vulnerability to the virus.

Wishing you smiles and all things nice

The end of Ramadan ushers in the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations – a festival dedicated to forgiveness, kindness,
and compassion. While Eid is a festival of celebration, it is also the time to reflect upon all of the wonderful
    aspects of our lives.

As we celebrate this occasion amidst extraordinary circumstances, let us pledge to support each other,
encourage each other, and stand with each other. Keep safe, stay home and have a blessed Eid with
    your loved ones!

    Best regards

Wit and Wisdom of India’s Most Celebrated Poet

One day, after Ramadan was over, King Bahadur Shah Zafar asked Mirza Ghalib,
    “Mirza, kitne rozey rakhey?”
“Mirza replied, Pir-o-Murshid, ek nahi rakha.”
Mirza’s answer was very interesting. He apparently told the king that he did not
observe one. On the other hand, the real aspect was that he did not observe a single fast.
An interesting reason why Mirza did not fast is explained by himself in his following Qita.:

Iftaar som ki kuch agar dastgaah ho
Us shakhs ko zaroor hai roze rakha kare
Jis paas roza khol ke khaane ko kuch na ho
Roza agar na khaye toh naachaar kya kare

    Best regards

    As-salamu ‘alaykum Friends and sisters

Sad that Ramadan is leaving? What are you going to miss the most? Night Prayers? More time with the Qur’an? The food!?
Ramadan is a gift from Allah to help us shape up for the year to come.
One of the signs of an accepted Ramadan is that we continue the beneficial behaviours that we grew accustomed to in Ramadan. Like going to the Mosque, reciting Qur’an after every salah and giving in charity to every noble cause that you came across.
The Prophet ﷺ said that the best of deeds are those done regularly, even if they are small. [Muslim]

    Mohammed Abdul Hafeez

  91. hafeeezanwar Says:

The Night of Reward – Beloved Prophet (May Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever stood (to offer Salah) in the nights of Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha) in order to earn reward, his heart will not die on the day when hearts (of people) will die.’ [Ibn Majah]
