HAZIR-O-NAZIR CONCEPT USED FOR RASOOLULLAH (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)

ALLAH Mohammed Calliagraphy1. Some people believe that Allah Ta’ala is “Omnipresent”, that is, Allah Ta’ala is Present and Over-looking at every time and at every place. They believe Allah Ta’ala to be “Haazir” and “Naazir”.

2. This is not true, as Allah Ta’ala is not bound by time and space. Allah Ta’ala is Present and Seeing from eternity without time and without space.

3. Allah Ta’ala’s Attributes, namely, Life, Knowledge, Power and Speech, are without time and without place, so are Allah Ta’ala’s other attributes. Allah Ta’ala’s Attributes always exists and will continue to exist till eternity.

4. There is a great difference between Allah Ta’ala being Present and the souls of His creation being present. No one is present like Allah Ta’ala being Present.

5. The Angels, the souls of Prophets, the souls of the Awliya Allah and the souls of pious Muslims are present at any place where they are called. They were non-existent, before being present. They will seize to exist after a while. The souls of the creation were absent before it became present there, and will be absent some time later. The presence of the souls is with time and with place.

6. Now that we have explained the concept of Allah Ta’ala being Present and clarified our position with regards to the station of the souls in this respect, we will explain the concept of Haazir (present) and Naazir (over-looking) of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).

7. It is the belief of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’at that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is given power by Allah Ta’ala to be Haazir and Naazir.

8. Some persons say that the Ahle Sunnat Wa Jamaat believes that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is present like Allah Ta’ala is Present. This is totally false because the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’at does not have such a belief.

9. The Ulema have used the words “Haazir-o-Naazir” for Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).

10. Allah Ta’ala states in the Holy Quran: “How then if I brought from each people a Witness and brought you (O Muhammad) as a Witness against these people”. (Sura al-Nisa: 41) This proves that each Prophet is a Witness for his Ummah, for those who accept Allah Ta’ala and those who reject Him. It also proves that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) was present before each Ummah, witnessing their deeds. On the Day of Qiyamah, when they will be questioned about their deeds, they will deny it. Then, Allah Ta’ala will bring the Final Messenger (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as a Witness and he will testify because he was present there when they were practising evil.

11. Imam Khaazin (radi Allahu anhu) states, “To be a witness means to be ‘Haazir’ or present.” (Tafseer Khaazin) Read the rest of this entry »

WHAT RASOOLULLAH (SALLAL LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) SAID ABOUT SAYYIDUNA IMAM HUSAIN (RADI ALLAHU ANHU) IN THE HADITH SHAREEF

1. According to Tirmizi Shareef, Sayyiduna Jabir (radi Allahu anhu) reported: I saw Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in his Farewell Pilgrimage on the Day of Arafat while he was riding on the camel, Qaswa, to deliver the sermon. I heard him say, “O People! I have left among you something which if you adhere to, you will never be misguided – the Book of Allah and my progeny (the People of my House)”.

2. It is also reported in Tirmizi Shareef: Sayyiduna Zain bin Arqam (radi Allahu anhu) reported that Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said to Sayyiduna Ali, Bibi Fathima, Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husain (radi Allahu anhuma), “I am at war with those who fight with them, at peace with those who remain in peace with them”.

3. In another Hadith from Tirmizi Shareef: Sayyiduna Ya’la bin Murrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported that Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Husain is from me and I am from Husain. Allah loves him who loves Husain. Husain is a descendant out of my descendants”.

4. It is stated in Sunan Imam Ahmad: Sayyiduna Abu Zarr (radi Allahu anhu) reported while holding the door of the Kaaba, “I heard Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) say, ‘The parable of the People of my House among you is the parable of the Ark of Noah. Those who got on it were safe, and whoso remained behind were destroyed”.

5. It is stated in Sunan Baihaqi: Sayyiduna Ummul Fazl (radi Allahu anha), daughter of Harith, reported: I went to Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and said, “O Rasoolullah! I have seen a horrible dream tonight”. He asked, “And what is it?” She said, “I saw a piece of your flesh had been cut off and placed in my lap”. Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, “You had seen good. If Allah Wills, Fathima will give birth to a son who you will nurse”. Then, Sayyiduna Fathima (radi Allahu anha) gave birth to Sayyiduna Husain and he was under my nurse just as Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) had said. One day, I went to the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and placed the child on his lap. Thereafter, his look was fixed towards me and both his eyes were shedding tears. I said, “O Prophet of Allah! By my father and mother! What is the matter with you?” He said, “Jibrael came and informed me that my followers will soon kill this grandson of mine”. I asked, “Him?” He said, “Yes, He brought some earth to me out of his red earth”. (i.e. from the sands of Karbala)

LOVE FOR FAMILY

Sayyiduna Al-Aswad (radi Allahu anhu) reported: I asked Sayyidah Ayesha (radi Allahu anha) what the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) used to do at home? She said: He used to keep himself busy serving his family and when it was time for the prayers, he would get up for prayers. (Bukhari)

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: There is no greater charity than a man’s spending his money for the members of his own family. He further said: Gift and charity to the poor kinsmen bring double rewards than that to strangers. And he said: He who joins (blood-tie) is not a perfect man, but it is he who joins blood-tie when it has been torn asunder. The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: No mercy descends upon the person among whom there is one who disregards the ties of blood.

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) had a great love and affection for his own children. Whenever he took a journey or returned from it, he used to see his beloved daughter Sayyidah Fatima (radi Allahu anha). Whenever she came to him, he used to stand up and make her sit by his side and kiss her on forehead.

Sayyiduna Anas (radi Allahu anhu) reported that the Holy Prophet of Islam (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) used to go everyday on foot to Awali, a place 3 to 4 miles off from the town of Madina to see his son Sayyiduna Ibra’heem (alaihis salaam) who was being brought up there at that time. He used to take him in his lap and kiss him.

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) was the most ideal husband and pleasant companion. His treatment with his wives is the most exemplary. As a husband of an old wife, as a husband of a young wife, as a husband of a widowed wife, as a husband of many wives, as a husband of a wife living in foreign land or in foreign faith, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) was a true ideal and a model for mankind. In the whole period of his married life, he did neither administer a single rebuke to his wives, nor give a beating even with a slight a thing as a tooth-stick. His treatment with them was the most cordial. He regarded them as co-partners in happiness as well as in distress, but never the idea crossed the threshold of his mind that they were for his sexual luxury. He used to say: The best of the commodities of the world is a virtuous wife. And he said: The best of you are those who are the best of you to their wives. He further said: Prayer, perfume and wife have been made a solace to my eyes. Everything with which a man plays is unlawful except his sporting with his wife.
