Did the Wahabis exist in the time of the Khulafa al-Rashidin? Al Malfuz Al Sharif Vol 1

Masjid Al Nabawi Al Malfuz Al Sharif Vol 1 – Anecdotes of AlaHadrat, Imam Ahmad Rida Khan عليه الرحمة (A Must Read & Share)

Question: Did the Wahabis exist in the time of the Khulafa al-Rashidin?

Answer: It was this very sect that Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ requested permission from Amir al-Mu‘minin Sayyidina “Ali al-Murtadah رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ to confront. They were 10,000 in number. Amir al-Mu’minin رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ granted him permission and he went to them and asked, “What was it about Amir al Mu‘minin that you so strongly disagree with?” They replied, “Why did the Amir appoint Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash‘ari رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ as a judge (Hakam) In the event of Siffin?” This is Shirk, because Allah عزوجل states in the Qur’an:

Judgement is from none, but Allah عزوجل. – [Surah Yusuf, Verse 40]

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ replied , “Is it not in the very same Qur’an that Allah عزوجل states: Read the rest of this entry »

Madina MunawwarahConcept of Unity in Islam

Unity is one of the strongest values of Islam, proven by both the Holy Quran and the teaching of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. However, there are some who don’t understand this concept and say in their ignorance that all people who read the Kalima are part of the Muslim Ummah and are brothers in Islam. How can this be?

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Stay away from those astray from the deen and keep them away lest they put you in fitna and make you astray as well.” — Muslim, Vol. 1, Pg. 10; Mishkaat, Vol. 1, Pg. 20

Didn’t Musailma Kazzab read the Kalima but also claim to be a prophet after our beloved master, Muhammad Mustapha صلى الله عليه وسلم ? Didn’t Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyani (another reciter of the Kalima) say the same a few years back? Is he our Mu’min brother too? Shias profess the Kalima but say that the Quran is incomplete. Do we embrace them with open arms as believers? When the answer to these questions is “No, they are not Muslims”, why is reciting the Kalima made to be the criteria of unity? Mere lip-service of the Kalima doesn’t suffice for unity. Rather, having faith and conviction on all the dimensions of Tauheed (the Oneness of Allah Almighty) and Risaalat (Prophethood of the Beloved Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم) is its foundation. Madina MunawwarahOpinions of the Salf-e-Saliheen (our great pious predecessors) on Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah

Hadrat Sayyiduna Shaykh Abd’al-Qadir al-Jilani عليه الرحمة says in his famous book Ghuniyya-t at-Talibeen “There are 73 groups as foretold by Sayyadina Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. The group which will be saved from the fire of Hell is the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah.”

“The Believer should adapt himself to the Sunnah and to the Jama’ah. The Sunnah is the way shown by Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. The Jama’ah is composed of the things done unanimously by the Sahaba al-Kiram who lived in the time of the four caliphs called Khulafa’ ar-Rashidin (and others in their path). A Muslim must prevent the multiplication of the men of bid’ah and keep away from them, and should not greet them (as given in many Hadith on this issue). Ahmad ibn Hanbal (Radi Allahu ta’ala anhu), the Imam of our Madhhab, said that greeting a man of bid’ah meant loving him since it had been declared in a Hadith, ‘Disseminate (your) greeting (salaam)! Love one another in this way!” He also said (pg. 143): “The title, Ahlus-Sunnah, which the innovators have expressed for themselves is not appropriate for them”.

Tablighi Jamaat and Wahabis in light of Ahadees

heaven & hellNote: Due to objections from Tablighi Jamaat and Wahabis that the Ahadees stated in this article were not found upon there research. We have posted below the Arabic Text and Ahadis number where possible.

The Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) has Prophesied that many individuals and religious sects will cause dissension and mischief till the Day of Judgment. He has made a particular reference to the Wahhabi/Tableeghi Movement.

Hazrat Abu Huzaifa (Radiallhu Anhu) narrates a Hadith concerning the leaders of the mischief makers: “I swear by Allah that the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) has not left out a single leader of Fitna from this day to the day of Qiyamah. Their followers would number 300 or more and further gave their names and that of their tribes.” (Abu Dawood)

FIRST HADITH

Imam Bukhari (Radiallhu Anhu) quotes this Hadith from Abdullah ibn Umar (Radiallhu Anhu) that the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) once prayed for Syria (Shaam) and Yemen. It is narrated that there were some people of Najd also present in the gathering and they requested the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) to make du’a for Najd also. The Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) continued saying: “O! Allah, Shower Blessings on Shaam and Yemen,” The people of Najd again requested the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) to offer prayers for Najd. The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “It is a place of tremor and Fitna (Mischief) and the horn of Shaitaan will rise from there.” (Bukhari Shareef, Vol. ii, PP. 1050)

It can be deduced from the above Hadith that Najd is neither blessed nor a good place but one of Fitna and Evil. Najd has been deprived of the prayers of the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) and therefore Najd has the seal of misery and misfortune and hoping for any good from there is going against the Will of Allah.

The Arabic word used in the above Hadith is Qarnush Shaitaan, which normally means the horn of Shaitaan. But the ‘Misbahul Lughaat’, a dictionary printed in Deoband has the following meaning: “One who follows the advice of Shaitaan.” (Misbahul Lughaat, pp/663). Thus we learn that a Najdi/Wahhabi group will emerge, as pointed out by Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) and this group will follow the advice of Shaitaan (Shaitaan refuses to respect Prophets and Saints, remember his refusal to bow to Hazrat Adam (Alayhi Salaam) is mentioned in the Quran. It will create havoc in the Muslim world. We are now witnessing the emergence of the Wahhabis who, with the assistance of petrodollars, are sweeping the Muslim world and are bribing them into accepting Wahhabism as the official version of Islam. Wahhabism is a disease but so many are misled into believing that it is curing the Ummah of Shirk, Kufr and Bidah. It is being portrayed as a revivalist movement. This is against the Ahadith. Looking at the geographical position of Najd, it lies to the East of Medina. The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) pointed towards the East and said:
“There, that is the direction from where Fitna will emerge.”

SECOND HADITH

Abdullah bin Umar (Radiallhu Anhu) narrates in Muslim Shareef: “The Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) once emerged from the room of his wife, Hazrat Ayesha (Radiallahu Anha) and pointing towards Najd exclaimed:
‘This is the center of Kufr from where the horn of Shaitaan will rise’.”
(Muslim Shareef Vol. ii, PP. 1394)

THIRD HADITH
Allama Dahlan narrates an authentic Hadith in his book ‘Addarus Sunniah’, which he has quoted from Sihaah. Read the rest of this entry »

MARRYING IN THE FAMILY OF DEVIANTS

Question: Is it permissible to marry in the family of Rafzees (Shiaa)? Nowadays, it is so complicated that either someone’s uncle or someone’s brother-in-law is a Rafzee.

Answer: It is not permissible. There are great dangers in such marriages. Your Imaan will leave your heart and the love for Allah and His Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) will also leave you. Almighty Allah states in the Holy Quraan,”If you come to your senses after the Shaitaan makes you forget, then do not sit in the company of the oppressors”. Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) states, “Run far from them and keep them away from you so that they may not mislead you”. There is a Hadith Shareef that is specifically related to the Rafzees, “A nation will come, they will have a bad title, they will be called Rafzee. They will not come for Jummah nor Jamaat. They will insult the pious predecessors. You must not sit in their company, nor eat, nor drink nor marry in them. If they get sick, do not visit them nor attend their funeral if they die”.

Imraan bin Khataan Raqqaashi was regarded as one of the greatest Aalims and authority on Hadith (Muhaddith). He married his cousin sister who was a Kharijite. The Ulema were very disturbed and opposed this marriage. He said to them, “I have married her in order that I may guide her on the right path”. Not even a year had passed before she had converted him to a Khariji. He went to hunt but became the target. This rule applies to all corrupt sects who have deviated from the Ahle Sunnah wa Jamaat. Due to their Kufr beliefs, the Ulema of Islam have passed the Fatwa of Irtidaad on them. People with such Kufr beliefs are regarded as Murtads, hence association and social bonds with them is strongly opposed as mentioned in the Hadith Shareef. Some of these corrupt cults are Wahabi, Deobandi, Qadiani, Rafzee (Shia), etc. Infact, the Nikah of a Muslim is not valid with them because of their Kufr. Children born from such marriage will be Waladu-Zina (illegitimate). Consult “Fatawa-e-Alamgeer” for details.

DISRESPECT THOSE WHO DISRESPECT THE PROPHET Salla Allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam

“You will not find folk who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even though they be their fathers or their brothers or their clan. As for such, He has written faith upon ..their hearts and has strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide.Allah is well pleased with them. and they are well pleased Him. They are Allah’s party. Lo: is it not Allah’s party who are the successful?
(SURAH LVIII: 22)

In this verse it has been clearly said that a Muslim will not have friendly terms with any person, wto is disrespectful to Allah or His Prophet. From this we deduce that a person who maintains friendly relations with such a person would cease to be a Muslim. In order to establish the general and final application of this command the words ‘father, son, brother and relatives” have been specifically mentioned. It means anybody who commands your respect or love cannot be allowed to hold such a position in your heart after showing an attitude of disrespect towards the Prophet, otherwise you will no longer remain a Muslim. It was enough for Allah Almighty to say this much. But see He persuades you to come towards His infinite mercy by telling you that you will be entitled to the following benefits, if you stay away from these insolent people in order to glorify the name of Allah Almighty and His Prophet Salla Allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam:-

1. Allah will write the Islamic faith in your hearts. It implies that your end will be on a note of divine promise of salvation, because what-ever Allah writes can never be wiped off.

2. Allah will help you through His spirit.

3. He will take you into the Gardens where rivers will be flowing.

4 You will belong to Allah’s party and you will be the true lovers of Allah.

5. You will get what you ask for; you will get millions of times more than what you can imagine.

6. Above all, Allah will be pleased with you.

7. He says: “I shall be well pleased with you and you will be well pleased with Me.” For a man there can’t be any greater blessing than His Allah being pleased with him, but it is indeed the height of generosity to say that “Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Allah.

Mere ” KALIMA ” recitation not sufficient

Allah In the name of the Most Affectionate, the Merciful.

YOUR ALLAH ALMIGHTY SAYS

“Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, we
I believe, and will not be tested with affliction?”
(SURAH XXIX: 2)

This verse warns the Muslims that mere recitation of the Kalima is not enough for your salvation. You will be tested. If you are up to the mark, you will be regarded as Muslims.

For testing a thing it is seen whether it does or doesn’t possess those qualities which are essential to its very existence. You have just now seen that the Quran and the Hadith have clearly stated that two things are essential for Islamic faith: Firstly, respect for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him); Secondly, a higher degree of love for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) than the entire world. The proper method of this test is that the persons who command your respect and love such as your parents, teachers, your spiritual guides your children, your brothers, your intimate friends, your companions, your mauIvis (professional Muslim priests), your huffaz (the Muslims who have memorised the Holy Quran), your Muftis judges of the Islamic courts), or your preachers etc,.. etc., who-ever they may be. if they are disrespectful to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). they should lose their respect and love in your hearts at once. You should leave them and throw them out like a fly thrown out of the milk. You should hate them. Don’t take into consideration your relationship and your friendship. Don’t feel impressed by their religious leadership and scholarship. After all, what-ever position they enjoyed was on account of their slavery and loyalty to Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him), and if they have acted disrespectfully to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) they have lost their position. Their religious cloaks and turbans should not impress you. Aren’t there Jews who wear cloaks and turbans? What shall we do with their external appearances, big names and long titles? Are there not many Christian priests and Philosophers whose knowledge of fine arts and other subjects is very vast? If they show any disrespect to the Prophet and you still maintain friendship with them and a serious hatred does not take root in your mind, decide it for yourself whether you have passed the test. Obviously, you haven’t passed it. The Quran and the Hadiths have clearly stated the essential requirements of the Islamic faith. Decide for yourself as to how far away you have gone from this criterion. Oh Muslims! Would any believer, who has love for Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in his heart, respect such insolent people, even if such persons include his spiritual guide or teacher or father? Will a person who loves the Prophet more than the whole world not start hating an insolent man seriously, even If he is his friend or brother or son? For the sake of Allah take pity upon yourself! Listen to Allah’s words. See how He calls you towards His own infinite See: Read the rest of this entry »

The Permissibility of Asking Allâhu ta’âlâ for Things by Some of His Creation

If performing tawassul had been blasphemy, then the believers, i.e., the Prophet, sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam’, his Companions, and the Salaf and Khalaf of this nation would not have done it.[1]Yet it is mentioned in the sahih hadith of the Prophet that the Prophet used to ask Allâh by saying:

Which means: <<O Allâh, I ask You by the status of those who ask You.[2] >> Without doubt, this is tawassul. The Prophet, sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam, used to teach this supplication (du^a’) to his Companions and order them to say it. This issue was expounded upon in different books and treatises refuting Ibn ^Abdul-Wahhab Najdi.

There is a hadith related by al-Hakim that mentions after Adam ate from the tree, he performed tawassul by our Prophet ‘sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam’. He did that, because he saw the name of the Prophet written on the ^Arsh, Adam said: <<O Allah, by the dignity of this son [Muhammad], forgive this father [Adam].>>

It was also related by Ibn Hibban, that upon the death of Fatimah Bint Asad, may Allâhu ta’âlâ raise her rank, the Prophet, ‘sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam’, with his own honorable hands, put her in her grave and said: <<O Allâh, forgive my mother[3], Fatimah Bint Asad, and widen her place by the status of Your Prophet and the prophets who came before me. You are the most Merciful.>>

There is a hadith classified as sahih[4], that a blind man asked the Prophet, ‘sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam’, to make a supplication (du^a’) to Allâhu ta’âlâ to return his sight. The Prophet ordered him to make ablution (wudu’) and pray two rak^ahs and then say:

“O Allah, I ask You and direct myself to You by Your Prophet, Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy. O Muhammad, I ask Allâh by you to fulfill my need. O Allâh, enable him to intercede for me.”

The blind man did what the Prophet taught him to do[5] and Allâhu ta’âlâ  brought his sight back. Moreover, as related by at-Tabaraniyy, the tawassul made by the blind man was used by the Companions and Salaf after the death of the Prophet.[6]

^Umar Ibn al-Khattab performed the tawassul by al-^Abbas (the uncle of the Prophet), may Allâh reward their deeds, when he prayed the Salah of ’Istisqa’[7] with the people. There are other proofs mentioned in the books of the Islamic scholars but we will not recount them at length here.

The one who pursues the saying of the Companions and their followers will find a great deal of proof about the validity of calling the prophet by saying “O Muhammad” in his presence as well as in his absence and in his life as well as after his death. In fact, many texts include the phrase which means, “O Muhammad”. Calling the name of the Prophet, ‘sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ ‘alaihi wa sallam’, is permissible. An example is the saying of the Companion, Bilal Ibn al-Harith, may Allâh reward his deeds, when he went to the grave of the Prophet. He said: “O Messenger of Allâh, ask Allâh to send rain to your Nation.” His saying contains this format[8].

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Sulayman al-Kurdiyy[9] was among the authors who wrote refuting Ibn ^Abdul-Wahhab. He was Ibn ^Abdul-Wahhab’s own shaykh. Among what he said is as follows: Read the rest of this entry »

Loyalty to ALLAH almighy useless without Love for the PROPHET salla allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam

Allah In the name of the Most Affectionate, the Merciful.

YOUR ALLAH ALMIGHTY SAYS

“Lo! We have sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as witness and a bearer of good tidings and a Warner, that mankind may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and may honor him,and may revere him and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the “close of day”
(SURAH XLVIII: 8-9)

Oh Muslims! Note that your ALLAH Almighty says hear clearly that there are three aims of sending to you the faith of Islam and revealing to the prophet the Holy Quran.

First, that people should believe in Allah and His Prophet.

Second, that people should respect the Prophet.

Third, that people should worship Allah Almighty.

Oh Muslims! Note the beautiful order in which these three important things have been mentioned. In the beginning Allah has mentioned the belief in Himself and in the end He has mentioned His worship and between these two He has mentioned His beloved Prophet. The reason is that belief without respect of Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is no use. There are many Christians who have written Prophet’s greatness and refuted the allegations of the non-believers or given lectures, but because they have no belief in Allah, their writings and lectures are only an appearance but not reality. Had they a real attachment to the Prophet in their hearts they would have Started believing in Allah Almighty. Unless one holds the Prophet in the highest degree of affection, there is absolutely no reward for a life-time of loyalty to Allah. There are many yogis and others who have renounced all joys and spent their lives in praying to all. The are many amongst them who assert that there is no deity but Allah ( LA ILAHA IL LALLAH ) and they utter these words again and again but since they do not respect the Prophet their worship is not acceptable to Allah. Allah Almighty has said about such people:

“And We shall turn unto the work they did and make it scattered motes”
(SURAH XXV. 23)

About such people He says:

“Toiling, weary, scorched by burning fire”.
(SURAH LXXXVIII: 3-4)

May Allah protect us! Oh Muslim, is the respect for the Prophet a basic requirement of belief and salvation or isn’t it ? Say that it is, and definitely, it is. Read the rest of this entry »
