Love And Respect of the Sahaba radi Allahu anhum for The Holy Prophet Muhammed SallAllahu ta ala alayhi wa sallam

Masjid Al Nabawi15 Ahadith on love and respect of the sahaba (radi Allahu anhum) for The Holy Prophet Muhammed صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

1. During the negotiations of the Treaty of Hudaybiah, Arwah, as the representative of the Quraish, repeatedly wanted to touch the beard of the Holy Prophet ﷺ as per the Arab tradition of diverting one’s attention. But, Sayyiduna Mughirah Bin Sha’bah radi Allahu anhu intercepted his hand with his sword. Arwah became very conscious and started observing the manners of the Sahaba. When he returned to the pagans, he said:

“I have seen the Courts of Caesar and Najashi but I never saw the respect, which the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ show to him. They take the saliva of Muhammad ﷺ into their hands and never let it drop down and rub the saliva on their faces. When Muhammad ﷺ gives them some order, they compete With each other to carry out that order. They fight with each other to take the water, Which flows after Muhammad’s ﷺ ablution. When they speak in front of him, they lower their voices and never look at his face directly.” — Sahih Bukhari Vol 3, Book 50,Hadith 891

2. When the Noble Messenger صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم once finished making wudhu, Hadrat Bilal رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ took the water that was used.  Read the rest of this entry »

For the sake of ALLAH (Exalted is He) : Sahih Al-Bukhari

Door Of Kaaba Sharif Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar Radi Allahu Anhu that the Prophet SalAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam said,

“While three men were walking, It started raining and they took shelter (refuge) in a cave in a mountain. A big rock rolled down from the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other, “Think of good deeds which you did for Allah’s sake only, and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that He may remove this rock from you.”

One of them said, ‘O Allah! I had old parents and small children and I used to graze the sheep for them. On my return to them in the evening, I used to milk (the sheep) and start providing my parents first of all before my children. One day I was delayed and came late at night and found my parents sleeping. I milked (the sheep) as usual and stood by their heads. I hated to wake them up and disliked to give milk to my children before them, although my children were weeping (because of hunger) at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did this for Your sake only, kindly remove the rock so that we could see the sky through it.’ So, Allah removed the rock a little and they saw the sky. Read the rest of this entry »

Permissibility Of Celebrating Meelad-Un-Nabi Salla Allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam

Madina Shareef 32It is the belief of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat that it is totally permissible to celebrate the Maulood (Birthday) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta’ala’alayhi wa sallam since this is a means of attaining great blessings.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’aan:

Commemorating the Noble Birth of the Beloved Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him)

Madina Shareef

The issue of the celebrations of the noble birth of our Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) sparks much debate and questions are raised as to whether it is correct or otherwise to observe it. Indeed a lot has been argued on this subject, hence the need to clarify why Muslims from all over the world celebrate this occasion as an “Eid” (literally meaning happy occasion or festival).

It is firmly established from various Qur’anic Verses, Prophetic Ahadeeth, Sunnah of the Companions, historical facts, and by consensus of the Ulema, that innovations could either be blameworthy or meritorious.

Madina Shareef

This article is not an attempt to define the categories of “Bidat” – (what is a Good Innovation or a Blameworthy Innovation etc) – for that is an entirely different subject. What this article shall prove, with Allah’s help, is that this commemoration is not an innovation (Bidat) at all!! So the question of whether such a commemoration is good or blameworthy, simply does not arise! Read the rest of this entry »

The reason why Allah ta’ala created the Universe

Madina Sharif 393Bismillāh ir Rahmānir Raheem

 Alhamdulillāhi Rabbil Álamīn w’al Salāt ū w’al Salām ū ála Sayyidunā wa Mawlanā Muhammad, Rahmatul il Álamīn, Sayyid ul Mursalīn, Khātim al Nabiyīn wa Qā’id al Ghurr il Muhajalīn wa ála Ālihī wa Sahbihī ajmaīn wa man tabīhum bi ihsānin ‘ila yawm il Dīn.

 Question: What do the respected ‘Ulama of Dīn and the Muftī’s of the Shariáh say about the Hadīth “law laaka lama khalaqtul aflaak” Which book is this Hadīth in? Is Sayyidunā RasūlAllāh şal Allāhu álayhi wa sallam the reason for creation or not? Are there other ahadīth that support this narration?

 Answer: Indeed Sayyidunā RasūlAllāh şal Allāhu álayhi wa sallam is the reason for the creation of Adam álayhis salām and the universe. If Sayyidunā RasūlAllāh şal Allāhu álayhi wa sallam was not in existence, then the Ársh and Farsh, Lawh and Qalām, the Skies and the Earth, Heaven and Hell, the trees and stones and all other creatures would not exist. There are many aḥadīth to this effect. Read the rest of this entry »

Mawlid Gift ♥ A Glimpse of Prophetic Beauty ♥

ALLAH in the name of , the Compassionate the Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. May prayers and salutations be upon the master of the two worlds, our liege lord Muhammad, and upon his pure family, noble Companions, and all who follow his exemplary way.

Ya RasoolAllah facebook cover image

The Companions described the Prophet’s SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam beautiful form that dazzled all who saw him. They said: “The Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam had the most beautiful face, and the best form. He was neither excessively tall nor short. His face was like the moon when it is full. No one before or after him has been seen like him, and if you were to see him you would say, ‘The sun has risen.’ And when he would speak, a radiant light would be seen emitting from between his teeth.”

[And from the other reports:] “The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam had a black beard and a beautiful mouth. He had long hair and a thick beard.” “The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam had broad shoulders. He was the greatest of people and the best of them. His hair reached his ears. Never have I seen anything more beautiful than him!”“It was as if the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam was fashioned of silver and his sweat was pearl drops.” “The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam was of medium height compared to others; he was neither tall nor short. He had the most beautiful face of all people and was the best of them in character. He was neither excessively tall nor short, but was closer to being tall. Never did a tall person walk with him save that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam appeared taller. Sometimes the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam would walk in between two tall men yet he would seem taller then them, and when they would part ways he would appear once again of medium height.” Read the rest of this entry »

VIRTUOUS ASSEMBLIES – [MAJAALIS-E-KHAIR]

Happy-Eid* Regarding Virtuous Gatherings and Meelad Shareef
* Regarding Rajabi Shareef
* Regarding Rasoolullah Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam going to the Arsh wearing his Naalain Shareef
* Commemorating Virtuous Gatherings on the Wafaat of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen
* What is meant by ‘Lakhi and Hazaari Roza’
* Gatherings during the ten days of Muharram
* Regarding Taazia Daari******

Law: Commemorating the Meelad Shareef, in other words, presenting discourses and narrations (etc) related to the Holy Birth of the Beloved Rasool Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam is permissible. Supplementary to this are incidents relating to his Excellence, Miracles, History, Blessed Life, Blessed Childhood and His Blessed Arrival, which are also discussed in this Sacred Assembly (gathering). These issues have been discussed in the Ahadith and in the Qur’an Shareef as well. If the Muslims discuss this in their assemblies (gatherings), and even if they arrange assemblies (Mehfils) specifically to do the above mentioned; there is no reason to deem it impermissible. To invite people towards such gatherings and to have them attend these gatherings is to invite people towards righteousness. Just as lecture programmes and Jalsas (Religious gatherings) are announced, posters are printed and distributed, articles are published in papers with regards to them, and due to this; those Lecture Programmes and Jalsas are not regarded as being impermissible. Likewise, inviting people towards the Zikr-e-Paak (Meelad Shareef) cannot be regarded as being impermissible and bid’at (an innovation).

Similarly, to distribute sweets during the Meelad Shareef is also permissible and to distribute sweetmeats is the same. When this gathering (assembly) is permissible, then to distribute sweets, which was a permissible action, will not cause this assembly to become impermissible. To label it as impermissible because people regard it as necessary, is also incorrect. Nobody regards it as being Waajib or Fard. I have personally witnessed on numerous occasions, that a Meelad Shareef programme took place, and sweetmeats were not distributed; and let us assume that there is someone who does regard it as necessary, then it is something which he refers to as necessary in the sense of it being customary (i.e. expected and routine). He does not regard it as being necessary in the sense of it being an obligation in the Shariah.

In these gatherings, people stand whilst remembering the Blessed Birth (of Rasoolullah Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam ). In other words, Durood and Salaam is conveyed upon the Prophet Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam whilst standing. The Ulama have mentioned this Qiyaam 1 to be Mustahsan 2. It is (thus) permissible to stand whilst reading Salaat-o-Salaam. Some pious predecessors have even been blessed with the honour of seeing the Beloved Rasool Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam in these gatherings. Although it cannot be said that Huzoor Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam definitely visits that particular gathering, but if he Sallallahu ta’ala alayhi wa sallam blesses one of his servants with his special affection and Honours the gathering with his Holy Presence, then this is also not something which is unlikely and far-fetched.

Law: In the gatherings of Meelad Shareef, as well as in other such gatherings, only those narrations (and incidents) should be presented, which are proven and authentic. Unauthentic and fabricated accounts Read the rest of this entry »
